Last-mile delivery is still broken. In most places, delivery execs spend 25% - 30% of the total time it took them to deliver finding parking spots, navigating different entrances, and floors of the apartment complexes, and calling their customers when they are struggling to find their houses.
These complexities ruin the 5-star delivery experience that most companies want to offer, waste the time of delivery execs, and make their job much harder.
truemetrics - Truly Door-to-Door Delivery Experience
truemetrics partners with logistics, e-commerce, and Food Delivery companies to provide precise coordinates for their delivery executives, including entrances and parking positions, to enhance the delivery process.
Customers - delivery executives - need to start by integrating truemetrics SDK which can be integrated into their smartphones. The delivery exec makes the delivery and the collected data gets sent to trumetric’s backend. The platform identifies the parking spot, entrances, floors, and all other details that the delivery exec needs to provide a fully door-to-door delivery.
The next time any delivery exec tries to deliver at the same or nearby location, the platform will guide them directly to the door of the customer, saving the time and effort it needs to search the location for parking, entrance, or call the customer to guide them.
The company uses smartphone sensor data to identify the locations and other delivery metrics that are harvested during the delivery process. Their machine-learning algorithm takes care of the rest of the work and provides all the navigation necessary for a truly door-to-door delivery experience.
truemetrics has its focus on the biggest markets for delivery globally - the EU, US, and Asian markets, opening up at least a $3.8Bn market opportunity. Once building a stronghold in the E-commerce market, there are many horizontal market opportunities that could benefit from truemetrics’ navigation system - mobility, defense, etc.
The company already has a live paid pilot with GLS Group, one of Europe’s largest logistics companies, with ongoing negotiations with some of the biggest food-delivery startups in Europe and Asia.
The Founding Team
David Wulff, the CPO of truemetrics studied political economy at the London School of Economics and also served a decade in the German Armed Forces Reserves - not your typical startup founder. He also spent two years working at McKinsey & Company as a consultant, before joining Wolt and expanding their presence in Germany.
Jan Bischof - truemetrics CTO - holds a PhD in Control Theory and has developed software and AI solutions for nearly a decade. He also comes from product experience in different startups and started his own company before truemetrics.
Ingo Boegemann, the CEO of the company, brings a decade of engineering and entrepreneurial experience, he successfully scaled and exited his previous startup before joining truemetrics.
Together, the team brings together the engineering, product, and business experience needed to solve a complex, and much-needed problem. We couldn’t be more excited to see their journey as the team transitions out of Y Combinator and uses their learnings to grow the company exponentially.
